There are a lot things that you should keep in mind in order to correctly guess your location. Here a a couple that I have learned throughout the times that have helped me narrow down my location.

Africa

Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, and South Africa

In the countries of Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, and South Africa, you will see that the shoulder lines (outer lines) are yellow and the the inner lines are white. These are the only countries in Africa with this present.

Ghana

In Ghana, you will see that there is duct tape on the front-right roof rack of the car used to record Google Street View.

Kenya

In Kenya, you will see that the car has this snorkel-shaped object at the front of the car.

Senegal

In Senegal, you will see what looks to be rifts in the sky.

Asia

Israel

In Israel, along with the use of the Jewish language, you will see an EU-styled license plate where it is a yellow plate with a blue stripe on the left.

Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, along with its generally greyish look, you will commonly see the google car with roof racks like this.

Mongolia

In Mongolia, you will see it is quite barren an dry. You may also see this car and variations of it (although they all have roof racks).

Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan

In these countries, you will see some variation of a yellow and black striped pole. While rare, this may also be seen in the Philippines. To differentiate them, use their language. While similar, they're all easily recognizable. (pole in the image is from Taiwan)

Europe

European Union

Countries in the EU will have this generally white license plate with a blue stripe on the left. There are exceptions which I will further discuss.

United Kingdom

In the UK, you will generally see these types of license plates (yellow, yellow with a blue stripe, or white), but yellow and yellow with a blue stripe are the most common

Portugal

Only in Portugal can you see a white license plate with a blue stripe on the left and a yellow stripe on the right.

Albania, France, and Italy

In these three countries, you will see that their license plates are white. but contain blue stripes on both sides of the plate.

Netherlands and Luxembourg

In these 2 countries, you will se their license plates are yellow with blue stripes. To differentiate them, Netherlands is flat, while Luxembourg has hills

Albania and Montenegro

In these two countries, you will see the rift that is also present in Senegal. To differentiate them, use the license plate of Albania, which has 2 blue stripes, while Montenegro has one.

North America

Guatemala

In Guatemala, you can see the side mirror of the google car.

South America

Colombia

In Colombia, the license plates are yellow. The only other country that has this is Peru, which only has it for public vehicles.
